The C5 is a large family car created and manufactured by the French Automaker Citroen.
Launched in 2001 in Europe and then much later, 2008, in China, the C5 can be purchased as a five-door liftback or a five-door estate.
In terms of engine sizes, Citroen offered a 1.8-liter, 2-liter and a 3-liter petrol engine along with a 1.6, 2.0 and a 2.2-liter diesels.
Second generations looked much more different, a more modern, sleek silhouette joined a radical change to the front grille; these were showcased at the Frankfurt motor show.
In May 2016, the C5 was axed for the UK market due to low sales, achieving only 17,105 within 8 years (customers in Great Britain have a choice of alternatives like the Vauxhall Insignia, Skoda Superb, Volvo V60, Audi A4, VW Passat Alltrack and the Skoda Octavia).
For the rest of the remaining markets, the third generation launched in 2021, due to its radically different appearance Citroen named this new vehicle the C5 X (to emphasize the crossover style).
