I think that these Optimo H426 tires are the best I have ever had. I have them fitted to my Ford Taurus and the only let down is the noise BUT then that could be because of the cheap materials used in its construction. The fuel economy and comfort is good for these tires too.
Grippy tyres for my Sportage
When I bought my Kia Sportage these H426’s were fitted to the car as standard. In the dry they grip the road incredibly – much better than expected. I was also surprised by the level of grip in the wet too, stopping distance was much shorter than usual in a car. The fronts need swapping to the rear really as they have worn down a lot quicker. As the tread wore away the noise climbed and the comfort dropped. I’m going to try a different tire next, maybe a Michelin Premacy.
Good but expensive
These are some really good tyres but are on the expensive end of the scale. The noise that was put out by them from day one was unpleasant but then that may be because of the ample amount of grip offered by them. They ended up lasting something like 45,000km before they needed replacing which is probably lower than my expectations at this price.
