Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Run Flat Reviews
Very Good
Pros – Amazing grip in both wet and dry as well as almost instant braking
Cons – Aquaplaning can be a bit scary and when traveling at medium speeds you can really feel the tires try to bite back into a straight line
Top Tire
These PZ4s are amazing on my BMW and plus they have lasted a long time. I have played with the pressure and found that 34psi on front and 29psi on the rear is the sweet spot unlike the pressures quoted on this site. I am thinking of trying the PS5 tires next.
love
i love this tyres and safe with flat tyres option. this should be advertised by producer that run flat. on my 4 wheel drive car grip very good
On my third set of PZ4s
I have only used PZ4s on my current and most-recent previous car as I was very happy with them. Unfortunately, I won’t be using them going forward as I agree with a bunch of the other reviews that say that the pros don’t really outweigh the cons – especially the price! At first, these PZ4s were amazing but quickly they became loud and lost that comfortable factor that was so noticeable at first. Another pain was the fact that I had to change these tires after just 20,000km on the driving wheels (FWD, so the front 2) making these a very expensive short-term tire choice.
Great when you first buy them
I remember the day fitting these P Zero PZ4s to my A-Class, they were amazing!
Roll ahead a year and they have seriously lost all of the things that made them awesome, such as, the grip and the quietness.
At first, I could hit corners without any worries of losing grip and now it’s noticeable how far I can push them before they lose their bite.
I also couldn’t hear them when traveling and now they are a constant hum of activity as they glide over the road (anything other than a freshly laid piece of tarmac).
I ended up switching to the Michelin PS5s which seem to outdo the PZ4s in every aspect including comfort.
