The Nissan Rogue is a model produced exclusively for the North American auto market.

Outside of the USA, a near-identical model is sold to the rest of the world that is marketed as the X-Trail.

Production of the Rogue began in 2007 for the 2008 model year and was originally built on the same platform used by the Qashqai and the Sentra.

Buyers could choose from a front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive layout but were forced to have the car fitted with a 2.5-liter engine and CVT.

When the second generation came in during 2013 a further second choice of engine was offered, a smaller 2-liter powerplant.

This was partly thanks to the car moving to a more generic platform used under many Nissan and Renault models.

In 2020 another new version of the Rogue was launched using the same platform and now the choice of engine was back to just the 2.5-liter option.

This engine had been upgraded though with fuel injection in order to achieve a better fuel economy.

Inside this new model were some of the latest and greatest technology that many car buyers are requiring including a touchscreen infotainment system and Android/Apple connectivity.
